The My Lai Massacre was a war crime committed by the US Army during the Vietnam War. In English, this massacre is named My Lai Massacre, Son My Massacre, or Pinkville, in which Pinkville is the name of the US military name for the My Lai area.
On March 16, 1968, in My Lai village in Son My commune, Son Tinh district, Quang Ngai province, US Army units massacred 504 unarmed civilians, most of them women and children.
